When it comes to HR, you don’t know what you don’t know….and it was clear by the time I was done, I didn’t know much! I had modeled my employee manual from examples I found online. I still struggled with writing sections of our first manual. Jennifer was great to work with. Jennifer and her team know exactly what I need to include as a small business based in DC, with employees living in MD & VA. She was able to research specific concerns, write areas I was lacking and take out sections I did not need for a company my size. Additionally the offer letter we were using was far from what it needed to be. Now we’re providing our employees a solid offer letter clearly outlining their offer as well as protecting our company. I feel confident that the processes we’ve developed for hiring employees is solid and that the information I’m providing to employees is not only legal and follows local laws but also protects me as an employer.
